Alere is a comprehensive internal accounting system built to streamline financial operations within the company. The platform handles everything from transaction tracking to asset management and reporting. As the system expanded, the design needed to scale with it—ensuring clarity, consistency, and usability across multiple modules.
The Challenge
As more features were added, the system’s interface risked becoming overwhelming. The challenge was to organize complex financial data in a way that remained clean, navigable, and user-friendly for internal teams handling day-to-day operations.
My Role & Process
In the final stage of Phase 1, I worked on refining existing modules—cleaning up visual inconsistencies, optimizing layouts, and standardizing form components.
In Phase 2, I collaborated more closely with stakeholders and developers to design new modules including dashboards, reporting sections, asset management, and transaction monitoring. I focused on:
Improving visual hierarchy for better data readability
Designing reusable components for form-heavy sections
Enhancing user flow efficiency across financial operations
All designs were created in Figma and shared through design handoff tools for smooth development collaboration.
Outcome
The updated design brought structure to a growing system. By standardizing components and improving clarity across modules, the platform became more scalable and user-friendly for internal staff. The updates also helped speed up task completion by reducing cognitive load and improving navigation across features.
